This is a three part interview done by Razortv about budding vintage enthusiasts in Singapore:
(sorry I couldn’t embed the videos here :S)
I believe here in Singapore, the vintage scene is not as wide as that in Australia (or any other parts of the world) but it is definitely growing. I feel that this is largely because of the island’s lack of op shops, which is the place for vintage enthusiasts to pay homage to.
In addition, I’ve been talking to a few Singaporean youths and the lack of appeal in vintage for them is because of the high costs of vintage/retro goods available here.
Do you guys share the same opinion? Or do you think Singaporean teens just prefer an edgier/street appeal?
