“You don’t have to spend a fortune to look fabulous!” -Colette Hayman
Hi! My name is Hannah Kamsadi and I’m a Communications and English graduate from the University of Western Australia.
I first started sewing this Pocket three years ago when I was bored in my apartment but was putting off assignments and wanted to do something fun. I came up with the idea to put my love for fashion and sharing to good use. The Pocket Issue acts as a creative outlet for me to talk about anything fashion-related as well as more pressing issues, such as, girl drama (maybe), good food, good hangouts, good music (by my definition). I am no fashion guru but I’m someone who can appreciate a good sense of style. I like to inject feminine pieces in my wardrobe but like a true blue Libra, I like balance, so my outfits aren’t always girly. I’d like to think “I’m versatile” – which by the way, is my personal tagline.
I wish shopping is an Olympic event. I might win. I’m pretty good with finding bargains. I’m not much of a ‘brand whore’ so I don’t really do labels nor lust after them. It works perfectly fine for me because my wardrobe has a high turnover rate.
Oh, and of course, I’m madly in love with 2 Broke Girls. Especially Caroline Channing – still looks fabulous even when she’s broke. Such a role model. My TV guilty pleasures are also Pretty Little Liars, Glee, Girls, The Carrie Diaries, Hart of Dixie, Orange Is The New Black and Orphan Black (such a couch potato, right?)
I don’t have a particular fashion icon that I adore because I get inspired everyday by different things and different people – from someone on the street through to interior decor.
Last but not least, thanks for coming to my virtual Pocket. I hope you’ll have a great time here as I have in sharing it with you!
